La Liga Weekly Writers

Juan Arango

After months of floating in the netherworld of 20-something indecision, Juan was able to find his two passions and convert them into a path to self-fulfillment.

Juan started his writing career with Goal.com as the South American and La Liga correspondent. His success as well as controversial articles quickly establishing himself within that publication for the three years he was associated with them.

Outside of working for MadAboutFutbol, Juan has also wrote for the Uruguay World Cup Blog, and is also the South American correspondent for Slovenian sports daily, Nogomania.

In addition to the writing, Juan works in the television industry for the past five years. He worked in companies like Gol TV and ESPN Inernational both in front of and behind the camera.

Armando Garcia

I’m Armando. I’m a teacher by day and podcaster by night. I’m also one half of Forza Futbol, a podcast covering the best of Serie A and La Liga.

Kevin Walker

I owe much of this first love to my greatest influence my father.

Dad brought to Canada the English sporting culture and was a member of several Toronto cricket clubs in his day. His first love and expertise was cricket but he nevertheless instilled in me a love of all things football.

In this large metropolis called T-O I was exposed to a variety of cultures including Italian, Portuguese, Greek, French and Caribbean each with unique traditions of the game which only furthered my growing attraction.

Of course I was naturally intrigued by RAI broadcasts from Italy on local television and looking back this was probably my first glimpse of the European game.

My current fascination is further discovery of calcio origins, the city rivalries, the politics and exports of this peninsular game to the world. Hopefully you’ll enjoy my contribution to the world of Serie A and visit Serie A Weekly for discussions about this fascinating game.
